Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace suddenly find themselves in Narnia on Prince Caspian’s ship, The Dawn Treader. The prince is on a quest to seek out seven lords of Narnian realm, friends of his father, who were exiled during the reign of the usurper (who was defeated in the last book). It's a wonderful travel tale with many adventures and beautiful imagery, as the crew sails into uncharted waters. They occasionally put ashore and encounter more perils on land. The writing is imaginative and descriptive. I particularly enjoyed the manner in which cousin Eustace changed from an unruly nuisance into a contributing member of the group. The chapters involving Eustace and the dragon are delightful. It is episodic in nature with each character getting at least one major set piece in the storyline. I wish I had read these stories when I was young, but glad I am finally getting to them.
