It is. I just recently got a new IEP for my mental health. They wouldn't give me a new one unless I went inpatient again. Its about a yearly thing that happens

My 38 year old single mom irl-

It is so stupid. Being disabled is a SPECTRUM and people on that spectrum vary day to day. I hate that the only people that get accommodations are the ones who "look" or "act" disabled. I was put into Speech Therapy for 2 years, it is on my record and whenever I join a new school I am automatically put back into it (Even tho I stopped going back in 6th grade because it ✨infantisizes people ✨), but as soon as I ask for extra time on an oral assignment I'm shut out? The system is so ableist & contradictory, it's laughable.

Agreed

I hate how people like me could use a cane, wheelchair, and braces for my knees and wrists. People with the wrist braces look at me and judge me

I use a kneebrace on BAD EDS flare up days, and people stare. Like- Ah yes, here we have the local teenage twink using an aid to aid him in his disability, now, observe him like you would an animal on the nature channel. But then when I DON'T use a brace (because I care Abt what people think Abt me) and my joints dislocate the same people are surprised and still stare?! Pick a side dude 😭
I have scoliosis that was marked down years ago, Last time I checked something like that can get potentially better but that depends.

Scoliosis IS NOT fun, it probably doesn't help that I sit like a shrimp, but that's besides the point. [straightens out back] ANYWAY, I think a lot of disabilities get marked down as someone "over reacting" because "Everyone has bad and good days" but to the point where it interferes with your daily life, wouldn't that be something to ask for accomodations for? Idk, food for thought
Feet up on the chair, comfy socks and soda; Just the way I like it. You are right about the need for change.
❝Just feet in the chair? What about crossing up on the table? Or better yet just laying on a couch?❞

SO REAL. I'll be in class, my feet on the chair, like I'm bent over, and then my friend will tap me and go "Merrick- What the actual f-". It's even worse when I'm reading istg 😭
Originally it was called `Alpha-Beta` as in the beginning and end. Americans downplayed the word for `Alphabet` due to it's easier said wording.
Acetaminophen is a good choice considering it's varietal uses in minor aches such as stomach pains, minor back aches, headaches and can even be used to reduce fever or inflammation depending on the situation. That's a good plan, Storm.
That is so dimwitted. I'm going though similar things at my school, because I don't have a 504 plan (Even tho I have literal records of being in therapy for my disability AT THAT DISTRICT), I can't get accommodations. (I was literally told to "stand back up and play" when I fainted in PE). Businesses and schools need to take in account the what ifs, because it is overall just unfair for people.
