Amanda Back has worked hard to maintain a great financial job and impeccable social score, and to reap all the benefits society provides to those who play along. This is after her tech genius, drug-addicted ex-boyfriend ran off with all her savings. He haunts Amanda even after death, by sending her revolutionary information on obsolete tech. She needs to enlist the help of drug dealers, oddball hackers and an appliance AI while agents of several governments try to get that information for themselves.
This sounds so exciting, and while I can't call it dull aspects of the story or pacing fell flat. There are better political thrillers or cyberpunk stories, this combines both without excelling at either.
