One bad corpse can ruin your whole day. Rhiannon's Law, Book 1 After leaving the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York, Rhiannon Murphy is eager for a clean slate and fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance, she's managed to keep her nasty habit of seeing dead people hidden from those around her-until now. The dangerous and deliciously sexy vampire, Disco, knows her secret. When he strolls into her club to ask for help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind, she quickly gets the vibe that he's not exactly the kind of guy you tell no. Yet in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it's only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone is killing vampires to steal their hearts and, unlike Rhiannon, this isn't their first stroll around the undead block. Warning: Includes violence, strong language, and references to sexual abuse that may disturb some readers. Oblique references to '80s films are hidden here and there, which could result in tickling your geek-like fancy.

Alisa I really enjoyed this book. I liked the second in the series also. Then I almost had to sale my first born child to get my hands on book three and I was super unhappy with the events of that book. I haven't kept up with this author's updates. Since this is a re-release does that mean she's writing a book 4? Anybody know what's up with this?

Alisa sell not sale......stupid autocorrect

message 4: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I have only read the first one while I enjoyed it but for some reason I never bothered to read the second one.

But after your post Alisa I took a look at her website and I think that may be a good thing - was not planning to do a re-read but now...

Looks like the publisher is making her clean up the books. For this one she said she added 7K words so it sounds like significant additions or changes. Book 2 was just re-released and book 3 will be re-released this summer and book four is coming out in the fall.

I brought this on B&N I wonder if the revised book is free or if I have to pay for it again?

message 5: by Lara (new) - added it

Lara | 742 comments I hadn't heard of this book, but when it was chosen I picked it up. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Alisa Thx Dawn. That's interesting to know. I don't want to re-read them all and I definitely don't want to pay for them again. I bought the first two on Amazon and they're usually good at the updates but that seems like a pretty significant update/addition.

Tina Bartz | 678 comments I bought this yesterday for my Nook HD because it is a BOM for this group but I have not started it yet. I have to finish another book first.

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Well Tina and Lara let us know what you think.

@ Alisa does not look like I got the free update from Nook and I am with you. I put in a request for the library so we shall see.

Lokki (lokki8) | 19 comments So I read this book a few days ago. I enjoyed it, but can't help but think it is like a tamer version of Anita Blake series origins.
