1. What’s the first book you remember falling in love with ?
My Dad read me "The Hobbit" as a bedtime story when I was little <3
2. What's the most memorable book-to-movie adaptation you've seen, for better or for worse?
Controversial but I love the 2k Pride and Predjudice because Darcy gives me powerful social anxiety vibes and, relatable tbh.
3. Aside from reading, what are some of your other favorite hobbies or interests?
I'm always fading in and out of different interests... drawing, carpentry, interior design, making prop weaponry, infusing alcohol... and of course, like any good theater kid, I love karaoke too haha
4. What's a book that's been on your TBR (to be read) list for ages, but you haven't gotten around to yet?
So many, I've wanted to sit down and read Emily Dickinson for a long time. I desperately need to read more Ruth Ozeki and Natsuo Kirino as well.
5. Share a fun fact about yourself that most people wouldn't guess.
Technically I'm credited as the creator of the "gotta go fast" meme. I didn't draw the OG though, that person is the real hero. Once someone on a dating site of all things recognized my username and asked me about it. Very surreal.

1. What’s the first book you remember falling in love with?
Aside from picture books and things my mom read to me before I was reading on my own, the first thing I remember reading and being obsessed with was The Secret Garden. I read that book so many times, and sometimes I still listen to it in audiobook format while falling asleep because it's so familiar and soothing to me.
2. What's the most memorable book-to-movie adaptation you've seen, for better or for worse?
I'm sure there are plenty I'm just forgetting at the moment, but the first one that came to mind was the TV show adaptation of Sharp Objects. I loved that book and really enjoyed how they portrayed the story on the show.
3. Aside from reading, what are some of your other favorite hobbies or interests?
Most of my interests and hobbies are pretty low-key. I mostly hang out at home with my dogs, play cozy games like Stardew Valley, watch TV shows or movies, and listen to music or podcasts. I also really love drag, so I enjoy going to shows, watching Drag Race and Dragula, etc.
4. What's a book that's been on your TBR list for ages but you haven't gotten around to yet?
Circe has been sitting on my bookshelf for so long, and I still have yet to read it. I can't even explain why. I read The Song of Achilles and absolutely adored it, so I know I like the author's writing style and will probably enjoy the book, but here we are, still not reading it.
5. Share a fun fact about yourself that most people wouldn't guess.
I have a master's degree in criminology with a concentration in treatment and rehabilitation (that I do not use in my current job)!

I'm Tim, I’m 28 years old and I’m from Boston, MA. I'm not the best at intros, so I thought I'd spice things up a bit and answer some ice breaker questions. Feel free to join in and share your answers too!
1. What’s the first book you remember falling in love with ?
This is going to sound so cheesy but the first book I remember being in love with was “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”. I would make my mom read it to me every single night haha!
2. What's the most memorable book-to-movie adaptation you've seen, for better or for worse?
For me, it would have to be between “The Hunger Games” and “Harry potter”. They’re both just so iconic!
3. Aside from reading, what are some of your other favorite hobbies or interests?
Whenever I'm not reading (which is rarely), I'm probably at the gym or hanging out with friends at the karaoke bar, singing "Super Bass" by Nicki Minaj until I lose my voice.
4. What's a book that's been on your TBR (to be read) list for ages, but you haven't gotten around to yet?
“The Charm Offensive” by Alison Cochrun, which I recently bought and will read soon! and “Lie With Me” by Philippe Besson.
5. Share a fun fact about yourself that most people wouldn't guess.
I’m a cancer ♋️ born on the Fourth of July 🎆
Looking forward to being apart of this group! Feel free to add me for book recs and reviews
