(Oh I gotcha. Nope this is just the way mom likes it best. I prefer it this way as well. Lol it’s honestly very rare that it gets spelled right just from someone hearing my name, like if they see it or I specify than it’ll often get spelled right. But not just them hearing it. Which is fine. But then for me if I see the name Elizabeth I default to with an s and have to go back and double check 😂 so it goes both ways. lol)

All of my siblings and I were named Bible names. So that’s probably another reason mom spelled my name this way.

(I'm not sure if I should keep that part since I have this "obsession" for privacy. I'm a bit worried if some of my friends irl recognize me on GR and find out how weird and silly I can sometimes get. 😂

Gotcha. Because I believe praying together and having people pray over you is powerful. Sometimes you need someone to pray with you. Most of the time when I ask someone to pray with me it doesn't mean I'm not praying as well. Fellowship is something that God has said is important, and praying with fellow believers is a part of that.

Ok see that's where I would no longer believe the same thing. I don't believe the saints in heaven can hear us. To me, praying to them sounds the same as praying to my grandpa in heaven.

Because to me they’re dead. Having fellowship with dead people sounds creepy to me 😂

On a more serious note, a little of I’ve heard about praying to the saints sounds dangerously close to idol worship. So my question is this, are you praying to the saints, or are you asking them to pray for you? Because there’s a difference.

If you’re simply asking the saints to pray for you, than I understand. If you’re actually praying to them than I believe that is wrong. Very wrong.

And another question, do you also pray to Jesus or just through the saints?

(I see what you’re saying now. Prayer to me is not entreating for the most part. It’s a conversation and form of worship. So to me to say I was praying to the saints would feel like saying I’m worshiping them. I see where you’re coming from now.

To me praying is not asking God to do this this and this for me. That’s mixed in there some but it’s all about thanking him for what he’s done for me, getting to know his character, and lifting him up as completely sovereign.)
