For romance I can recommend "Safe Haven" by Nicholas Sparks, for thrillers "No Time for Goodbye" by Linwood Barclay and for historical fiction "Into The Wilderness" by Sara Donati.
I would recommend:Powerless
Shadowhunters
The infernal devices
the mortal instruments
Throne of glass
all are romance, fantasy
I can recommend you some from the fantasy/dystopian genres :)Throne of glass
A court of thorns and roses
Divergent
Hungergames
Delirium
Mazerunner
Harry Potter
Eragon
(Not original I know, but they are good)
Prey by Michael Chriton. I can read this book over and over its just so good. killers of the flower moon is also great, true historical account of the horrific murders that went on in Oklahoma to the Osage Indian tribe, truly despicable things went on for way to long without accountability to the true killers. highly recommend these reads.
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence is a fantasy novel and the best book I read last year. Also if you haven’t tried it, I recommend Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews and its sequels. Great romance / fantasy hybrid.
I love Crime Mystery, thriller, psychological thriller Novels. So I suggest you to read Verity by Colleen hoover, The silent patient by Alex Michaelides, Delusion in death by J.D. Robb
If you're looking for a classic, Jane Eyre is pretty good. It's very long, but definitely worth it.Anne of Green Gables is also very good.
Age appropriate classics...Great Expectations, Dickens.
Grapes of Wrath, Steinbeck.
To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee.
My go-to recommendation is always The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. But, i just recently read If He Had Been With Me and that was a good (heartbreaking) book.
My 3 favorite books are great reading. Boys Life and Swan Song by Robert R McCammon and Kain and Able by Jeffrey Archer. All books by both of these authors are awesome
Read, "The Fox wife by Yangsze choo" it is historical fiction with bit of fantasy element and romance subplot " If you are interested in thriller I will recommend"The Maid's Diary by Anne Loreth White
Just finished The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I've read a couple of her books that I wasn't crazy about, but this one was really good.
I'm currently reading Mother-Daughter Murder Night, I'm only about 1/2 way through but I do recommend it!
If you like that sort of thing, "The Illustrated Guide to Celtic Mythology" by Thomas William Rolleston (Studio Editions). I'm going to read it thoroughly (as in every single line in it) for the first time now, but enjoyed my partial eds of the whole thing before.
Try stand alone fantasy like Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson, Sword of Kaigen by M.L Wang, The Mortal Techniques by Rob J. Hayes (It's a series but you can read it in whatever order you'd like. Some characters and events are connected to the next or previous book). Then for mystery/thriller, The 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.
Historical Fiction, try Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Classic, definitely One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Then one of my favorites that I'd always recommend is The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
