Or just go with Miss Marple instead! :)
Jessica, I updated your points on Sparkling Cyanide to add the pseudonym points. Could the difference between your points and Casceil's be as a result of the cover on the edition you read? Maybe take a look see.

The title is in the middle of the cover, so you were correct in not claiming points for it.
But - add 4 points for cover not being more than 3 colours. 27 points
That's kind of cool that Elinaly and Tasha read the same book, one reading it as The Painted Man and the other by the alternate title, The Warded Man. Elinaly's edition had more pages so gave her the extra point.Berit, I haven't checked back but you could be a contender for the gluestick.
That was my plan ;-) no, it just happened that someone recommended a book to me, that is now published with a different title.
Berit wrote: "I read Better than perfect alternate title Wild Hearts, genre romance 3 points, pages 3 points, for a grand total of 6 points!! Thanks! In my brain I keep thinking hearts not cards :-) I guess there are hearts on cards, that is my excuse anyways :-)
It took me a couple minutes to figure it out so I thought I mention it and save Janice the trouble. :)
Berit wrote: "Thanks! In my brain I keep thinking hearts not cards :-) I guess there are hearts on cards, that is my excuse anyways :-)"The problem was that whatever you typed to link the book takes us to the search page which lists all the books with the same title.
Thanks for helping to clarify the book, Dawn.
Janice wrote: "That's kind of cool that Elinaly and Tasha read the same book, one reading it as The Painted Man and the other by the alternate title, The Warded Man. Elinaly's edition had more pages so gave he..."Thank you Janice, I corrected the points.
And yes, funny how it turned out - the same book, but one is reading warded Man and other painted Man, both reporting it almost at the same time :)
Btw, Tasha, did you like the book?
I just loved it and will definitely read the remaining books in series.
LOL, Dawn! You made my day! I needed that. I haven't given him up completely. I don't think anyone could be as pompous as Nero Wolf. I think it is the difference between the first person accounts and Christie's third person treatment.
I am in awe that you are almost done with the whole series too!
My sister has always preferred Miss Marple but I love Poirot, he's so funny. 42 books in his series and I'll have read every novel and short story with this last book, it has taken me three years though! :)I need to finish another series to finally get my level five badge first though, so I can use Poirot for his own level.

You hit the jackpot with that one, Connie. Not only did it give you lots of points, you gave it 5 stars! It's now on my wishlist.
Good news!! I think I figured out how to add books on my browser, so it will go directly to the book :-)
Janice wrote: "You hit the jackpot with that one, Connie. Not only did it give you lots of points, you gave it 5 stars! It's now on my wishlist."I know, Janice. I read it because I love the author with no expectation of earning many points but just reading a book I would enjoy. When I started adding the points, I was startled. : )

I gave it a 3... and a 3 word review. Disturbing. Depression. Sparse. I keep clutching my stomach queasily similar to the main character throughout the story. Wondering what is going on in there. Some books get under your skin...
Yes, some books do get under your skin. I recently read Thirteen Reasons Why and gave it 3 stars as well. It's about a teenager who commits suicide. Before she dies, she dictates 7 cassettes with 13 exposés of people who wronged her and played a part in her death. I can't shake it out of my head. I'm debating using it as my choice for our book club read. We have 4 social workers in our group, 2 of whom work for suicide prevention. The thing that is holding me back is that one of them had a daughter who committed suicide, and another member just lost her husband to ALS.... okay, just talked myself out of it. But, I would sure love to discuss this book with someone.

I'm currently reading the same book, just the other version than you. But I don't think it falls in the category of high/epic fantasy, at least for me it has not fantastical elements (androids aren't especially fantastical IMHO). I will not be claiming points for the genre.
I made the graphic designer (Lexx) look at the cover to see if there was black and blue. He pointed out the (view spoiler). Yeah, I loose. And how about I spoiler that...
Edit 2. That really is a spoiler so don't click on it if you want to read the book.

I didn't care for Poirot in the one book I read. He seemed a bit pompous.
