David J Definitely a must read, a true science fiction classic by any definition. Very interesting view of the downfalls of a massive civilization that has become decadent and complacent, destined to fail. Future version of a Galactic Rome.

I don't agree with Neuromancer, I would have replaced with Dune.

Niels Bugge 40% of the books I've read on that list are really bad, but I guess it's no use to tell that to Foundation fans...

Matthew Williams They lost me when they recommended 50 Shades. That book isn't something that's "between hilarity and despair" that could spice up someone's sex life. It's fan fiction mommy porn that's stuck between fluff writing and stupid cliches that appeals to frustrated idiots.

C. G. Telcontar I consider this particular list to be of no use whatsoever; written in the current tabloid/scandal style of today's journalism, it indulges in pithy asides and juvenile qualifications. Not worth your time to use as a reference guide to find a great novel you've never heard of or overlooked.

Tomas Foundation is a sci-fi classic recommended and praised by many readers but it left me untouched. There wasn't anything that I extra liked.
