At the beginning of the book we find Lindsey (the detective a main character) holding her own gun to her head and seemingly at her wits end.
At the end of the book she has killed the bad guy and calling her close friends to help her, in remission from Nelga (?) and up for taking on the future.
At no point in the story is the “gun at her head” incident ever referred to … just no resolution, I don’t get it.
