[BWF] The Collected Regrets of Clover by Mikki Brammer – 4 Stars (Rounded up)

This was an interesting debut novel that hovered between 3 and 4 stars for me. Clover is a death doula, whose job is to provide support and comfort to those who are dying, and to help them come to terms with death. The book was well written and it discusses a topic that is often pushed to one side. It did this in a sensitive and respectful way, and promotes the ides of living life well whilst appreciating it. My main problem with this book is that I just didn’t like Clover, and found her to be quite annoying and immature at times, which is a problem when she is the main character in the book. There were also some cliched plot points, but it was quite a nice, quirky read.
