Kristina | 4 comments I recently discovered that if a book has a kindle version, it will usually have a sample. In the sample you can search for any words that might be a trigger for you. I started using this to weed out certain words (it won't be fool proof as there might still be other things in the other parts of the books, but it gives you a general idea)

I've also found some IG pages that recommend authors that write clean reads. I follow @closeddoorromance and @squeakycleanreader amongst others.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 271 comments There's no need for a writer to pepper a book with foul language even if it's obvious that certain characters use it. I try to make sure my books say something like "He swore profusely." We all get the picture, I think.
