Nick (bucketpls) | 2 comments Hey everyone,

Since about a year or so ago I started reading Warhammer novels (both 40k and Age of Sigmar), but I have started noticing I have been buying books that might not be readable due to it being a series.
This made me wonder, are there any good sources online that will tell you what series you need to ready from 1-? and which ones are just isolated stories?

Mainly asking this as the Black Library official website is an absolute horrid place to get actual info from, with them just not clearly stating if a book is meant to be read as a series or not.
Bought myself Soulslayer, The Dark City, and Witchbringer without looking if they were a series as they were wildly cheap, but now I can't find a source if these are actual series or stand alone stories based on a character or army.

Would love to hear some tips and tricks on how to spot actual series as well, or at least how to spot books that can be read as stand alone titles, as it is rough wanting to read a book but avoiding it due to being unsure if it's going to be a mess.

AJ I know of no such sources other than say the Lexicanum which has entries on books and will probably tell you enough to know whether or not you would want to read it in a series https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Main...

Nick (bucketpls) | 2 comments Thank you very much! That is actually exactly what I was searching for!

Still not a 100% certain how accurate it all is, but at least I can assume that the books the have links to one another should be read in that order. Thanks again, bud!

AJ 'welcome. The Lexicanum is one of the more conservative lore repositories so you should be good. The more liberal one being the Fandom: https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/....

Accuracy is an illusion, the lore is a lie ... *looks around*
