At heart, she is a lovely and caring person, but it takes quite a lot to break through her tough outer shell of jealousy and toxicity. Yuna can be really annoying when she wants to and she hates her family, and most of all she hates herself. She hates how Corian gets a Selection, and how she was just 2 minutes late to getting a Selection, and she also hates the fact that 35 girls will get to participate in a magical experience, and that she is just stuck in the palace, having to do everything her parents say. And the worst thing for Yuna is that no one understands her. Fame, for her, is just a burden and Yuna sometimes just wishes to be normal, or the Crown Princess and have some goal in life. (view spoiler)[Dahyun and Corian are twins but Yuna was born just 2 minutes after Corian, and just missing out on being the Crown Princess and getting her own Selection made her really sad. Also, growing up in the toxic royal court shaped Yuna into who she is now, a jealous, hateful person who’s forgotten what it’s like to have friends.

When Dahyun was 16, she fell in love with a guard, and they secretly dated for a year until her father found out about their forbidden romance and he killed the guard and physically abused Yuna, claiming that the guard simply wasn’t good enough for her, and she should have known better. All the guard did was make her feel happy and understood and ever since then, Yuna has basically zipped her nice self into the corner of her heart, never to appear again.

Yuna seems to hate everyone, but really it’s herself that she hates the most because she feels like she’s missed out on so much and everything that Corian has could easily have been hers. She hates herself for being so harsh on herself, but all Dahyun needs is a friend who will understand her and support her no matter what. (hide spoiler)]

FAMILY OVERVIEW

Ricarda Clara O'Shannon is the youngest child and only daughter of the O'Shannon family. Her parents are Micarda O'Shannon and Samual O'Shannon.
Her mother has been pregnant five times. The first and eldest sibling is her older brother who is ten years older than her. He is a professional pianist who travels across Illea. This brother is Jared O'Shannon. Jared is 26 years old and a caste two.
Her mother's second pregnancy was triplets two years later. These boys are 24 years old at the moment. The firstborn of the three triplets is a castle guard. His name is Dustin O'Shannon. The secondborn of the triplets is an Illean police officer. His name is George O'Shannon. The thirdborn of the triplets is an actor. His name is Leo O'Shannon.
Her mother's third pregnancy was twins. These boys are 21 years old currently. The first is a model named Vincint O'Shannon and the second is a singer named Connor O'Shannon. 
Her mother's fourth pregnancy was a single boy. This boy is currently 19 years old and is a firefighter. His name is Eric O'Shannon.
Her mother's fifth pregnancy was a twin boy and a girl. The boy is her twin brother, the firstborn of the two and she was the youngest of all the siblings. LIFE HISTORY

Despite her massive family, Ricarda's childhood was quite normal. She lived in a lovely mansion. Her family was rarely in the spotlight other than main events but, her parents knew how to handle everything professionally. Ricarda was raised in some fame from her noble-prize-winning mother and world-class acting father. They had the money to do almost anything she wished.
Ricarda spent lots of time in nature inspiring her to write. Unlike her parents, being outside in nature or watching people interact to make the events book ideas.
When the selection was announced, her father and mother wanted her to enter to help with their fame, Ricarda entered hoping she could make a difference and change Illea for the better. While still writing novels.

WRITING HISTORY / RELEASED BOOKS

Throughout her years, Ricarda wrote plenty of novels. Her first novel was started at the age of 8 and completed at the age of 10. It was called the Destiny of the World. A book about a mythical world and how it's destiny was to be destroyed since it was never perfect. The book became popular upon release but sales went down after around two years of release.
Her second book was released when she was 13 and she called it Step on Sand. This was a different style of the book. A romance novel placed on a setting in a coastal beach area. After being published the book was popular for two years but received a mass amount of criticism.
For her third through ninth books she wrote, she wrote a six-book series on an adventure through a deadly country. The first book was released when she was 14 and was a massive hit earning a noble award before the second book was released three months later. By the age of 15, she had released all six books and the series was very popular and had received multiple awards.
When she turned 16, she was writing another single-book romance novel which she is finishing while in the palace. She also has started a second book which is an autobiography of her time in the selection.
