It was a pretty good book. I had a hard time getting into it. Felt like it was missing something. But after about chapter 13 it got better. Left me wanting to read the next one at least. What are y’all’s thoughts?

Oh, I just loved this! Solid 4.5 star read, if you don't go into it thinking this is going to be a super complex and otherworldly read. It has many clichés, it's nothing new, the challenges were a bit meh, but I ate it up and left no crumbs. And Kai Azer, dude, what a man!!! Yeah, loved it, can't wait for Reckless!

This was a delightful page turner. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Couldn’t believe this was her debut novel! It had me exclaiming—‘This is your first book?!’ Blew my socks off in that regard. The Disney-ish aspect of the relationship was the only thing that annoyed me. It was very PG. that said I still rated it a 5 for the fact that it was seamless and for the pure enjoyment!

This was a really long book and maybe it’s my fault for putting it off but at times felt like a bit of a slog to get through. Overall not bad, though! Full of tropes and I found lots of similarities between other fantasy novels I’ve loved which I enjoyed. A little on the gorier side than I was expecting 🤔.
