What to read after ACOTAR?

I have all of CC and TOG patiently waiting on my bookshelf, but I've seen mixed reviews on which series to read after ACOTAR. Which should I read next?
Also, I know there's a strong debate on when to read the assassins blade. When did you read it, and do you recommend it that way?

I haven't read TOG yet but I also read CC after ACOTAR and I definitely recommend CC!

Haven’t read CC yet but I read TOG after ACOTAR and really enjoyed it.

I also read TAB third in the series (so I did ToG, CoM, then TAB). I personally really liked it this way! The only really strong opinion I have is that you should read The Assassin’s Blade before Heir of Fire because the info is important to HoF.

Essentially TAB is a prequel! All events in it occur before TOG. If you love chronological order then read TAB first. I liked connecting with the story and characters before learning all the backstory (which is publication order). It’s emotional either way!

I read TOG after Acotar and at first I thought that was a mistake and nothing would outshine Acotar, but I realized TOG left way bigger impact on my mind. I still vividly remember all of it and I’m not the same person anymore. You certainly will not regret it! And then after TOG and CC you can give Kindred’s Curse series a shot :) Also, feel free to message me your feedback 🤞🏼

I'd recommend reading TOG after ACOTAR just because CC is a lot more complex world building wise and TOG eases you are into it. Also read Assasins Blade after the second book (published order) and if your are a slow reader I´d recommend that as well so you remember everything for heir of fire. have fun reading!
