Sounds fun! StoryGraph app takes uploads from Goodreads and keeps track of all kinds of things like pages read. It’s pretty cool.
🚩🚩Guys if you haven’t seen yet, I put all the people who signed up on teams. I’m not gonna put the names on this thread because it can get messy when I update it constantly, so I’ll just add new members’ names to the assigned thread and they’ll be responsible for checking both teams’ first post and seeing which one they’re on. Thanks!🚩🚩
I'll sign up. Question: do I start counting books that I finish after joining, or only books that I start after joining?
Wow, this sounds like so much fun!!! I'd love to sign up, please! Also, I'm assuming that if I read an ebook, I would need to look up the paper edition's page numbers, is that correct?

Preferably when you join
Preferably when you join
Hey Taz. Just curious about books of the Bible? Do we just wait and count the whole Bible upon completion?

You can do it either way, but if a book is less than 100 pages, and most likely will be, read a bunch of them and make sure that together they equal 100+ pages if that makes sense

No, sorry :/
No, sorry :/
I just finished a graphic novel - it's not a manga, but should I still give it the 7 points? It was over 200 pages, but I did read it in like 30 minutes haha, so I thought I'd check. TIA!

7 points, yes
7 points, yes
Hello! I’d love to join :) Also a question, if I started a book before I join would I be able to count it once I finish? Just wanted to check :)
Ohh, gotcha gotcha. Thanks for clarifying, Bets!! :)
A point per chapter is a LOT, because that would acc be more than what people are currently doing for full length novels. How about this: every 15 chapters is 7 points?

I know a lot of you have been asking for a F&F point game, and I’m so sorry that it took so long for me to put it up! But it’s here now, so thank you all for your patience 🤍 So sorry again!
So for those of you who don’t know, a point game is where the group is divided into two teams. Each team has the same amount of people/close to the same amount of people. So how it works is:
- Once you’re finished reading a book, go to your team thread
- Each team starts at zero, and the number of points you log should correspond with the number of pages the book has. Each member is responsible for logging THEIR OWN POINTS once they finish reading a book.
- Write the title of the book along with the points next to it and state the total as well (Ex: The Hunger Games: 20, total: 20) there’s another example down below so please check that out as well!!
📝Scoring System:📝
100+ pages: 10 pts
200+ pages: 20 pts
300+ pages: 30 pts
400+ pages: 40 pts
500+ pages: 50 pts
600+ pages: 60 pts
700+ pages: 70 pts
800+ pages: 80 pts
900+ pages: 90 pts
1000+ pages: 100 pts
🚩🚩 ANY BOOK O V E R 1000+ pages can be like what you said.
**only for 1000+ paged books tho.**
Ex: 1,500 book would be 150
1,250 would be 120
1,400 would be 140
And so forth 🚩🚩
- books under 100 pages don’t count unless it’s like a manga, graphic novel or something like that. Children’s pic books are one point.
▶️ AUDIO AND EBOOKS: **Check the PAPER EDITION for the page numbers**
▶️ MANGAS/GRAPHIC NOVELS: 7 points
▶️ PICTURE BOOKS: 1 point

🚩EXAMPLE🚩
Person A: Wuthering Heights: 50
Total: 50
Person B: Dance of Thieves: 30
Total: 80 (notice how you’re adding YOUR points to the previous person's post, which should mention the total)
Person C: The Thief: 30
The Selection: 30
Total: 140

~ this will end at the end of the year, and then I’ll remake the teams using an online generator again. We’re still deciding the prize for the winning team, but it *might* be choosing the first BotM for 2025, but we’ll see :)
