Jessie Winterspring (jessiewinterspring) | 20 comments Ok, hear me out. I hate to be asking this question but I'm going crazy because there's a "reader" that keep rating my books, 3 or 2 stars and I know for a fact that they haven't read my book. They rate my book the moment I list it on Goodreads and no one has read it yet! It's not published and I haven't sent it to any beta readers or editor (only I had read it) I only made it possible for potential reader. I don't know them too.

A good example is my incoming book In Another Time. They rated it 4 stars... 2 years before I send it to my first beta reader! So there was no way they could have read my book.

Liralen | 8212 comments Goodreads allows users to shelve and rate books whether or not they've read them (and, usually, whether or not the book has been published yet). Some readers do things like rate books they haven't read as a tracking system for which upcoming books they're most interested in reading.

If you believe a reader is misusing the platform, you can contact Goodreads Support, but since three- and four-star ratings aren't exactly malicious, I doubt they'd pursue it.

Jessie Winterspring (jessiewinterspring) | 20 comments Yeah, I contacted them and there's no reaction to that. Sad. I wish I could from this reader haha

Thanks for answering.
