Michele (spookybookshelfie) | 116 comments Hi guys! I'm looking for SK book recommendations to fill in some gaps I still need to fill in a reading challenge that I'm trying to do this year 🤭
1) Is there any SK book where Finland is mentioned? does anyone know?
2) A King Book set in a closed or enclosed space
3)SK book where a holiday is celebrated
4) Book where chapters are not named nor numbered
5) Book in which a child is born?

Kandice | 4387 comments A Very Tight Place is a novella collected in Just After Sunset and is the tightest/most enclosed space imaginable!

Drunken Fireworks is all about a Fourth of July contest.

Cujo has no chapters, titled or otherwise. Would that count?

Children are born in The Stand among others.

Jaclyn~she lives! catching up on reviews~ (jackyrin) | 9 comments elevation is set around thanksgiving.

Bob Jenkins | 10 comments Would Dome count as set in an enclosed space. The whole town is enclosed under a dome

Bob Jenkins | 10 comments I assume your not looking for one book that fulfills all five but with some flexibility in the criteria you might get close with The Shining:

1) While "The Shining" does not explicitly mention Finland, it does mention the Overlook Hotel's mysterious construction by a company called "The Finnish Consortium."

2) "The Shining" is primarily set in the isolated and enclosed Overlook Hotel during the winter season, which becomes a character in itself due to its claustrophobic atmosphere.

3) Although "The Shining" does not revolve around a holiday or festival, it does take place during the holiday season, particularly around Christmas.

4) "The Shining" does have chapter numbers, but it doesn't have chapter names. The chapters are simply numbered.

5) While "The Shining" does not involve the birth of a child, it does revolve around the psychic abilities of a child character, Danny Torrance.

While "The Shining" may not perfectly meet all your criteria, it comes close and is still a classic Stephen King novel worth reading.
