Books with NO SPICE, but still STEAM

The types of books I enjoy (new adult or adult romance) usually have spice. The few closed-door or spice-free romance books I've read turned out to be quite bland.
So Im looking for books that still have the BUILDUP the BURN the TENSION the STEAM, without having on-page spice.
"The Cheat Sheet" is the only book I've read that fits this... any recs?

Check & Mate, I thought since it was Ali Hazelwood it would have smut, but it didn’t which I loved. The tension is definitely there though in my opinion!!!

one dark window has such a good build up and has steamy scenes but no spice, really good read.

I haven't read Cherry Locked yet but apparently the author says it's steamy. It's free on Kindle as well.

Yours Truly has about 1 page of slight spice. Was honestly slightly disappointed haha, but it was still a super funny book!
