ISBN taken by non book item [solved]

This is no different than having the title be wrong or the wrong author.
Since the ISBN is from the publisher it should take precedence over whatever random circumstance caused this Cd to be there.
Do you have the LOC number to verify the book that way as well?

No. Where can I find it online? Google wasn't helpful. The information I have is from the publisher's site. I don't have the physical copy.

I really do think that the ISBN belongs to the book, and not whatever is on it now. I read up on the system months ago and was surprised at how cheap it is to get one. While there are always going to be mistakes as nothing is 100 certain (not even the old main-stays of death & taxes ;) ), the odds are that whatever seller on Amazon just threw in a random number.
From ISBN.org:
CDs are only eligible for ISBNs if they are spoken word or instructional. Music or performance CDs are never assigned ISBNs.
From that, and the fact that the title now attached is from 1994 and is a compilation CD from various musical groups it is safe to say it belongs to the book. The author would have paid to own it.

Marking this as solved. Thanks again for the help :)
But the isbn 9786303197012 is taken by a non book item https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... This is a music CD. What should be done in this case?
