Hi. I read this book back in 2014 for my 9th-grade honors literature class. I remember the main character was a young boy who had a speech impediment specifically a stammer. I also remember how he would talk about the differences between a stammer and a stutter as people often confused the two. There is also a scene in the book where the boy has a shower with his dad and sees his father's genitals which shocks him. The boy compares his father's privates to an ox or something like that. I can't remember much else about the book, but hopefully, someone can help me find it.
