SOLVED. Adult Spy/ Espionage novel with glass salamander in some form in the title. [s]

I read this book back in high school (1983 - 1987). It was a spy novel the title had the words Glass and/or Salamander in it. I can't remember any other words in the title. I do remember an image of a stained glass salamander on the cover in some sort of amulet/charm on a necklace.

Considering when I read it at my town library the book was probably published in the late 70's.

You got it! I had read the hard cover edition. Red cover pendant with a salamander
