Okay basically I didn't want to see a this cause I don't want to make this dramatic but basically the US is trying to pass a bill that will censor the internet. They are going to make a decision on the 29th and it would effect everything. So I'm going to send a link to sign, call, email for it to be stopped. It would literally effect every form of social media.


I'm so sorry if this was not a great idea to send but the news needs to be spread about it and it's making me very anxious

The KOSA bill was a thing back last year too. I was scared out of my mind because I had a shit ton of online friends and I was scared to loose them. Now my internet access has been SUPER shielded (ygs, my parents found out I was... Gay... Scary ik), so the KOSA bill wouldn't effect me as much, but I understand the need for the attention of it. Please sign the petition.

So this has recently been brought to my attention. I'm responding to provide the other perspective. For reference, I am a conservative, Catholic republican. I do not believe that abortion should be legal nor do I expressly support the lgbtq community. This bill will limit the online propagation of both of these topics to minors by setting out requirements that online websites and platforms have to follow in order to protect the innocence of minors. In my opinion, I think that this aspect of the bill is something needed in our day. I have not heavily researched this topic so I do not know everything that is going into the decisions of lawmakers who are voting on this bill. This is just my opinion and in no way, shape, or form am I trying to force you to change your opinions or to conform to my way of thinking. I think it is helpful for people making decisions such as these to see the other side in order to make a less biased decision
