Agatha Christie's novels are rather short.

Dee Turner | 17 comments The Penric and Desdemona series, 11 novellas about a priest of the bastard god and the (highly opinionated and very wise) female chaos demon who inhabits his body and often speaks through him--by Lois McMaster Bujold, author of some 40+ books, including the 18 in the sci-fi fantasy series, The Vorkosigan Saga. Can't say enough about Penric and Desdemona, but count them among those books that are both engaging and touchingly endearing, reflecting decency in action.
