David, thank you for taking the time to post all these excellent links to research concerning possible major floods in the Earth's recent history. I tend to agree Noah's flood is probably a myth or else based on or inspired by true stories of real floods that occurred earlier in the Earth's history.

In saying that about logic now slowly beginning to seep into this discussion, I just cannot get out of my mind Fay's vivid description presented as fact of how the dino birds would have flown around Noah's ark until they got tired and decided to rest in the ark as the rest of the world was flooded...
However, wasn't Noah meant to have collected all species of the Earth (including Kangaroos and Koalas here in Australia...) before the flood came? Or am I remembering the story wrong?
Fay - please come back into the discussion as you make me laugh a lot and I love your total confidence in all biblical events :)
This whole discussion thread was meant to be a bit of fun anyway and not too serious ;)

as for Koalas and roos....didn't species adapt to the envoronmets anyway....I mean...Australia is one of the most inhospitable environments next to Antarctica....why donvt we see any Australian creatures anywhere else in the world.

I just was laughing to myself, Krishna, when I pictured the dino birds not wanting to go into Noah's ark and flapping flapping flapping around in circles before finally collapsing onto that little ark :)
And good questions, Catherine, about the koalas and roos...to which I have no answers for...
All I know is there are a lot of descendants of the dinos living here in OZ...like the crocodile

Maybe he used a fiddle (or similar instrument ) like the Pied Piper of Hamlin did to lure all the rats out of the village.

Crocs aren't indidigenous to Australia though...you find them in Africa as well...and Alligators are their norhtern cousins...in Florida.
Their are other animas that are only indigenous to certain areas...Penguins, Polar Bears, Arctc Hare and Fox, Reindeer, Puffins, Flamingoes, Lions, Rhinos...there may be others....can't think right now...but these are only found on 1 continent each and nowhere else....
Other animals moved with people...Sheep, Horses, Cattle, Goats, Pigs....Cats and Dogs can be found almost anywhere in some type of breed

We were talking about dino birds? Oh. Whatever.
I mean, the birds obviously would have had nowhere to land except for Noah's ark. Even the tallest mountain was covered blah blah blah... So I mean, the two of every kind of birds that God had come to the ark came, but I'm sure other birds like, came to the ark to get from the storm.
I'm glad I can be of your laughing convenience... Glad I'm appreciated.

So thanks for the humor :)

God called the animals to Noah's boat. Noah didn't really have to do anything about that.

So thanks for the humor :)"
I know. :)

So can't those birds be dino birds?
Dinos flapping until the fall onto the ark
Crazy images in my mind

But I believe some species of dino would be quite large even as babies
How big was baby t-Rex?

God is allowed to get angry....we are his children...and when we're naughty....he punishes us....with floods and plagues and other horrors

Althoughost Islam is very similar to Chrstianity...I don't really follow it too much...I guess mostly because I don't understand it....and then there's the animosity betwwen Christians and Muslims

Also, the big contrast between the Old Testament God and New Testament God is another red flag...

Quite brilliant. You've 'cracked' it.

Old Testament...people are worshiping false gods and idols
New Testament...they're not....
And God never claimed to be perfect....he made mistakes too

Sorry, I was forgetting we're now all agreed on Noah saving dinosaurs. ;)

These religious Gods also sounding very juvenile and need to grow up!
Here's hoping the ET gods are more mature and don't order floods to occur any time they don't get their way ;)

God didn't want to kill everyone, He just had to. It was all man's fault. Man was so sinful and evil that God was so sad He had created them. All were evil except for Noah and his family.

Would I imply such a thing?

C'mon guys, it doesn't add up let's face it
Unless, we agree that maybe these stories are not literal...and there are true messages buried within fictional stories...and that the real God could be concealed behind these stories of false Gods

A Bible Code
So maybe we are reading it all wrong

Should Frankenstein turn on his creator if his creator is evil?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing any god of being evil per se. But in the Bible, the chap is certainly a lot more love and forgiveness in the New Testament than he is in the older tales.

James, how would you feel if you were God, okay?
And lets say you created people, and you love the people you created. You love them soooo much.
But then, the lovely humans you created don't love you back, they disregard your requests, they become evil, they hate, they cheat, they steal, they kill, they are pure evil. What you made as good, turned into dangerous. Wouldn't you be the least bit angry?

yes...God made mistakes....why would you think he was perfect....we were created in his image....don't you think that is a clue?

Created in His image means we have a soul like Him. It doesn't mean that we are EXACTLY like Him.

The real God must surely be genderless, timeless, perfect, fully formed, beyond human emotions like anger and beyond any need to punish its creations. rather, the real God must be pure compassion and non-judgemental, I say.
