Thank you Janith. Lovely pictures you've got there. I've seen some of those before. Pretty convincing to me if I do say so myself.

Harry Whitewolf | 1745 comments I can't believe Janith's managed to reel this topic back into plausible debates- thanks for posting those pictures- I hadn't seen a lot of them. It certainly suggests humans lived alongside them at some point- and seeing as we have an abundance of ancient civilisation people evdience, who knows how far 'humankind' could go back beyond that. I certainly suspect that images like the ones posted were based on more ancient artwork that was destroyed.

Hm, and would future archeologists un-dig some of our stuff and believe that we existed alongside dragons in the twenty first century, I wonder.

And I can't believe you guys're arguing about Jurassic World and Power Rangers, lol. I think the fist ever dino bone was found in 1960s, but until late 1970s (I think so) nobody had an idea what they actually looked like. But then they've found ancient ica stones, carvings and paintings with Stegosaurus and T Rex images !!.

Future archeologists won't have much problem figuring out how we knew about dinos or even if they could find a plastic T-Rex toy inside a casket coz this is 21st century. But we're talking about 750 BC !! :D

Roman Emperor Maximinus Thrax was a 8 footer. He may have suffered from overgrowth. But 60 feet tall human skeletons .... I wonder what these folks had for lunch those days !! :D . But most of these pics are seemingly Photoshopped

Faith (faymorrow) | 309 comments Alright, so if the earth really is millions of years old then what about the population? Shouldn't the earth be totally filled up with people??? Did you know that if the earth really were millions of years old that there would be more than 150,000 per square inch.

Boom! The Whitewolf cuts thru the crap and gets to the crux!
The Whitewolf doesn't mince words.
However, he's forgetting that the Earth is flat and not including in his calculations that in the planet's 500 year history (let's keep shaving off more time in preacherman fashion) a lot of dinos and humans accidentally fell off the edge and drifted off planet into space...

message 727: by James, Group Founder (new)

James Morcan | 11380 comments The best thing about this thread is observing Fay trying to fit a square peg into a round hole!
The square peg being the extreme Christian Fundamentalism (which claims The Lord created man dinos and the Universe only a few centuries ago) and the round peg being REALITY.

James Morcan | 11380 comments sayori wrote: "U want dinos to wear space suits also?"

No space suits...
They should just die floating in space...
And then all explode simulatenously...BANG!
This will show to audiences that this event is what scientists mistakenly thought was the Big Bang.

Except, the twist is one dino has a rare mutation which means he doesn't die in space but is able to travel in space...(to set movie up for sequel...)

James Morcan | 11380 comments sayori wrote: "and in the next part that rare dino will come back so that ancient people can draw their pics? or for Noah to drop the egg?"

Yes, good idea:
part 2 is dinos come back (as evolved ET beings) to tell humans about their dino ancestors...so that will make Janith happy.

part 3 is dealing with Noah and how he forgot to save the dinos...this will make Fay happy.

Yes Harry, people die but... Oh dear- so at one point in time only 8 people lived on the planet and from those eight people came the current population. IT HAS GROWN EVERY YEAR. http://www.worldometers.info/world-po...

Alright, but in 2 million years wouldn't the population be way larger than it is now???

message 741: by James, Group Founder (new)

James Morcan | 11380 comments Populations can fluctuate for various reasons
Trying to prove the Flat Earth-like belief that the world is only 6000 years old via population growth is illogical, Fay...
Getting to 7 billion population is far more likely over millions of years rather than s few thousand especially when you factor in plagues, famines and other things that threatened to wipe out certain peoples in recorded history...

If you wish to stick to the beliefs you've been born into and told, then you're better off not questioning things as they cannot hold up to reality...

message 742: by Janith (new)

Janith Pathirage (pathirage) | 135 comments And there were mega predators those days. The president of Australia was Megalania. US president was the Short-faced bear. Humans found it really difficult to compete with them with their stone age weapons. Another reason for the low population back in the days.

Yes, it would be fantastic if everyone agreed that the earth was the same age... but it's not millions of years old. I'm curious, how do you know that the earth is millions of years old?

Were you there?

message 744: by Faith (new)

Faith (faymorrow) | 309 comments sayori wrote: "I know because science tells so.. there r many methods of estimating the age of the earth by studying rocks and landmass.
by the way r u 6000 years old?"

Tell me about some of these methods then.

And no, of course I'm not 6000 years old but for Pete's sake I have a whole book that can give me the facts of how the earth was made and that can give me an estimate of the age of the earth. Obviously called the Bible, it's God-breathed.

message 745: by James, Group Founder (new)

James Morcan | 11380 comments Sayori, allow me to introduce you to the world of "blind faith":
In the history of the Earth it's been estimated there have been 330 Million Gods...
Each "believer" has about 1/330,000,000 odds of their God being the greatest...
So if you can believe that and have total faith in those kinds of odds, and never have a flicker of doubt, then it ain't much of a stretch from there to say the world is only a few thousand years old...

But my concern is we are disrespecting the spirit of the dinos who died 65,000,000 (65M) years ago...

Some "scientific methods" are not reliable. Yes, I have heard of carbon dating before and I believe that it's a bunch of bologna and isn't reliable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVuVY...
This is one of the videos I like for this topic.

message 747: by James, Group Founder (new)

James Morcan | 11380 comments Okay Fay you win.
The world is only a few thousand years old.
Australian Aborigines are not 50,000 years old like science says.
Earliest man is not 1-2 mill years old like science says.
The planet is not a few billion years old like science says.

So can we now please get back to the topic of what happened to the dinos 65 million years ago?

message 748: by Matt (new)

Matt | 68 comments God vs Science... Science always win !!

message 749: by Harry (new)

Harry Whitewolf | 1745 comments Fay, if you won't listen to science, maybe you could try to at least comprehend that out of 1.8 billion Christians in the world, only 13% are Evangelical- and fewer than that which will hold your beliefs that you've mentioned.

It's not just scientists and average folk that will dispute your claims, it's the vast majority of your religion as well.

message 750: by Harry (new)

Harry Whitewolf | 1745 comments Matt wrote: "God vs Science... Science always win !!"

Nah, I wouldn't say that at all.

Religion vs Science: Science always wins- perhaps.
