Raleigh Falcone | 7 comments Title: Fragments of Skyonae
Series: No
Genre: Dark Fantasy, New Adult/Young Adult
Page Count: 221

Are you interested in steampunk environments and worlds filled with biomechanical technology and sentient plants?

Then Fragments of Skyonae is the perfect book for you! I am looking for someone to review my book and I am wondering if you could do so?

Synopsis:
Commander Ryoko Hyakutake earned it. Her new title, honor, and the respect of the Skyonian Imperial Military. But she'd throw her reputation away in an instant to bring back those she lost. Crippled with survivor's guilt, she, along with the rest of the military, search for the remains of a sacred sword to strike back against the god Xilmire and his curse.

When Ryoko becomes the first person to slip free from Xilmire's grasp, she uncovers both a conspiracy against her within the ranks of the military and the secrets of the god's curse. Each new revelation about the curse could put her life further on the line.

But there is a chance those secrets could save her people.

Will she uncover the curse's secrets in time to save everyone? Will she save herself? Or will the Skyonian Imperial Military destroy itself?

Why I wrote this book: As an autistic person, I tend to create massive fantasy worlds that I wish I was a part of. Writing is the best way I can communicate with other people and share my ideas, which I do through writing characters and discussing issues that people need to be aware of. Most importantly, I write because I've just felt like I was born to tell stories. One of the things that separates this book from other books of the genre is that I combined a combination of both steampunk and heavy floral-based technology (think living, mobile tree platforms and sentient weaponry made out of vines that bind to the user's hand). I codenamed this style "greenpunk." Another thing that separates this is the relationship between the lead character and her adopted sister is done in such a positive light because their almost mother daughter relationship reminds me of me and my dad. But because I am autistic, sometimes it can be hard for me to say how I really feel about others. Their relationship is written as an homage to my relationship with my father, almost as a way of thanking him for everything he's done and how he encouraged me to pursue my talents, overcome fears of rejection, and to publish this book.

Release date: Already released

Review by date: End of June

Thanks,
Raleigh Markovski Falcone

Hey Elicia, I'm including a link to the first four chapters of my debut novel, Blood Herring, as well as the Goodreads link at the bottom. It's a Cozy Urban Fantasy that I've had many romance readers dive in only to fall in love the characters and relationships. Despite being a full novel, I've had many readers come to me and say they read the whole book in one afternoon.

If you find you enjoy, I'd be giving you a digital ARC for the original and the upcoming sequel.

Please reach out with any questions and happy reading!

Shattered by Faith RC Woods

Elian is a killer.

Influenced into action by members of the Dominion organization by promises of inclusion, Alpha Elian Vicario commits a heinous act in the name of the Pure Blood Movement. After murdering many members of his pack, he faces the wrath of an ancient coven of witches summoned to stop him and ensure his punishment. But instead of killing him, they curse him to a deserted island cloaked by magic to spend the remainder of his life in solitude. Tormented daily by the witch’s hexes and spells, and along with his forced isolation, Elian struggles to maintain his sanity. Only after discovering a mysterious circle of stones on the beach does he find a thin thread of hope that he may one day leave the island.
When injured Faith Tulli arrives on the beach after a plane crash, Elian believes she is another apparition sent by the witches to torture him. He soon determines she is a frail human who relies on his help to survive. Faith appeases Elian’s loneliness, and he realizes her impact on his life. After a storm, wreckage from the plane crash washes ashore. Elian finds an item among the debris that proves the crash wasn’t accidental. Someone had intended to kill Faith.
With his newfound knowledge of the stone circle and the threat to Faith’s life, the two prepare to leave the island while contending with the witch’s persistent intervention. In the end, only one can return home. After their separation, Elian struggles to overcome his past, and Faith learns about the betrayal of someone close to her heart. As the pair attempt to reunite, endless obstacles arise that continue to keep them apart.

I'm interested. My new novel comes out on July 2, 2024, at which time I could send you a print copy. The title is The Girl from Jersey City, Romance Suspense, 64K. alaust70@aol.com

Synopsis

As the summer of his eighteenth birthday begins, Paul Nesbitt finalizes plans to escape his alcoholic, abusive father, enabling mother, and impoverished Jersey Shore town blanketed by the fumes of a chemical processing plant. Although the local police have Paul in their sights for a break-in and theft, he has been able to avoid arrest and has vowed to do his best to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, his strategies are disrupted when he meets Laura, a vivacious young woman from the city, who takes an unexpected interest in him. To deepen her intrigue, he lies about himself. The biggest one is his acceptance into a very prestigious Ivy League college. But when the facade he’s created threatens to crumble, the only solution appears to be money. And the only way to get that money is for Paul to break his vow and take part in a very ambitious robbery that, if he’s not careful, may not only lead to his arrest but cause him to lose Laura.
