The Sun and the Star (Camp Half-Blood Chronicles #17) by Rick Riordan- Starting March 17th, 2024

I don't mind😊"
thanks, when are we starting?

So real, I'm currently on ToA (2 one), but I will read all the books in one day if I needed to read TSATS rn

I finished the Trials of Apollo last month. I don't think any Rick Riordan novel will top that series for me (ToA is so funny!) and also I think there is a limit to the number of greek mythology-demigods-quests stories you can read at a stretch😆
But I think it would be fun to read The Sun and The Stars with other people.
Let me know whenever you guys start. I can start on 17th.

Anyway I'm on chapter 11 rn, and I don't know how to add spoilers yet, but initial thoughts are: Woah!!!!(?)

Anyway I'm on chapter 11 rn, an..."
You started TSATS before finishing The Dark Prophecy? Oh boy I think you must have discovered the major spoiler of the Apollo storyline by now xD
But that aside, though I do not think you will have any difficulty in understanding the story in TSATS, I think the events of The Tower of Nero deepen Nico and Will's relationship which continues to develop further through TSATS. The Tower of Nero also actually lays the context for TSATS and I think you would read TSATS with a very different emotional perspective if you finished Trials of Apollo first.
But in any case, enjoy reading :)

Girl go ahead and read Trials of Apollo. I think it is the best storyline in the Riordan universe xD In retrospect, I am just glad that I did not give up while reading PJO and HoO series because they brought me to Trials of Apollo which was the ultimate treasure.

I love them togather. Definitely one of my favorite couples in his series.

I always chalk this up to Riordan's inconsistency with Hades' character.
On the one hand, he has written Hades as this dark and bad and (closer to evil) and always sort of angry character, on the other hand our modern version (and by this his fans) see Hades as a if not good but at least neutral and peaceful character.
So, he wants/needs to please the fans, but since he really can't take back what he wrote previously about Hades, Hades comes off as inconsistent in his stories

Who is going to believe them, when they tell that? XD

I did sometimes.

Who is going to believe them, when they tell that? XD"
Absolutely nobody probably. Which kind of makes it funnier.

I did sometimes."
oh good ^^
As the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo has been through so much, from the premature deaths of his mother and sister, to being outed against his will, to losing his friend Jason during the trials of Apollo. But there is a ray of sunshine in his life–literally: his boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo. Together the two demigods can overcome any obstacle or foe. At least, that’s been the case so far...
Now Nico is being plagued by a voice calling out to him from Tartarus, the lowest part of the Underworld. He thinks he knows who it is: a reformed Titan named Bob whom Percy and Annabeth had to leave behind when they escaped Hades’s realm. Nico’s dreams and Rachel Dare’s latest prophecy leave little doubt in Nico’s mind that Bob is in some kind of trouble. Nico has to go on this quest, whether Mr. D and Chiron like it or not. And of course Will insists on coming with. But can a being made of light survive in the darkest part of the world? and what does the prophecy mean that Nico will have to “leave something of equal value behind?”
Nico will have to face demons both internal and external as his relationship with Will is tested to the core in this standalone adventure featuring two of the most popular characters in the Percy Jackson saga.
