Grace’s friends are shocked to learn she can sing until she’s drunk and convinced to sing at karaoke night. Videos of her singing go viral, and she’s an overnight sensation. Grace doesn’t see it as a big deal, but it turns out to be a very big deal. How does singing onstage with a big superstar help her come to the realization that being a star isn’t what she wants? How do these scenes play into the overall storyline?

Grace had a good look at the life of a performer, both the good and the bad. She didn't like the crowds, the fans rushing her, and the loss of privacy. It didn't take long to realize that she prefers the anonymity of writing.

Agreed, Sharon. Grace hated all the attention and the mob mentality. Writing music is what she really loved doing and I think getting to perform with XO showed her where her heart really was.

[Anita]

Most performers have a warn up period before they hit the big time. They get used to the demanding fans and the curtailment of their privacy. Isabel was kinda thrown into the deep end of the pool without lessons on how to swim.

That's a good point Anita. And because of Isabelle's kind hearted nature, it's hard for her to understand that she can't stop and sign every autograph.
