Another intriguing introduction to this story: “Isabel MacKenna had a hundred things to do today. Killing someone wasn’t one of them.” Were you immediately intrigued? Thoughts?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Garwoods' gift of pulling the reader in at the start is exceptional. You can't help but wonder why or how she is going to kill someone. She doesn't appear to be a murderer.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I just couldn't wait to find out what the ----- was going on. This was a very intriguing start to a book.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I always enjoy her opening paragraphs. She knows how to draw a reader in.
