in my opinion, it's not as good as acotar. the plot is different, but they do feel similar to me.

I agree, Fourth Wing is definitely a new adult series, not a YA series. I personally think I would've been fine reading it at about 16/17 but it probably would've been the most explicit thing I'd ever read at that point. Makes me uncomfy to see 13-15 year olds reading it.

I think ACOTAR is better but most people who like one like the other! I like them both, so I don't think you'll be disappointed as long as you're not going into it explicitly trying to compare them.

Fully agree with you. I have a big issue with the industry marketing books as YA/NA and directing them towards teenagers when there's such explicit scenes/language.
