Colleen Hoover books as well, I've heard a lot of negative things about her so maybe I just shouldn't read her books?
Not a believer anymore...Or perhaps y'all could recommend something to bring me back to the club again?
honestly, I'm afraid to read Colleen Hoover, since there was a hype and then suddenly it felt like everyone started to hate her books

@✨Aubrie✨everyone has a different taste but in my opinion fourth wing is sooo worth it! 50% though the book and I already know this will be a six star.
I might read it soon before I end up getting spoilers but I still have a lot of books I need to read before I move to something else
I just finished Verity by Colleen Hoover and really enjoyed it. I was nervous though due to the so many mixed reviews about her on booktok

And that's definitely saying something, because reading is my only past time.
I'd highly recommend that you give it a chance! You won't be disappointed!
I read love T.L.H by Ali Hazelwood and I found it so bad that I'm regretting having bought some other ones. I'm afraid that I will hate them too
Icebreaker and The Love Hypothesis The more hype around it the less motivated I feel to read it idk lol
cat and mouse duet !! a lot of ppl have been saying its overhyped and my expectations are really high and im scared it wont be as good as i thought

I didn't read too much about the book and decided to try it going in blind after seeing it on TikTok.
Well now im just getting to the end of the second book and can honestly say I really love it. The cliffhanger at the end of Haunting Adeline made me want to start the second book right away because I could not leave the characters that I became attached to.
The second book is even better than the first in my opinion. If you're okay with the insanely traumatic scenes that is. I read Haunting thinking that was bad but it's hardly anything compared to Hunting.
I think it is well worth reading, and wouldnt have thought i'd be falling in love with the insane stalker by the second book. Now im looking forward to reading Satan's Affair as the prequel following another character I really grew to love.
Iron Flame. I loved Fourth Wing and I'm afraid I won't love it as much/it won't live up to the hype. It's also why I haven't read Hunting Adeline yet, even though I'm really into dark romance.

It definitely has quite a lot of world building in it but i think it's done quite well.
There are also so many twists from the half way point its becoming difficult to put the book down at night
yanah♡ wrote: "Colleen Hoover books as well, I've heard a lot of negative things about her so maybe I just shouldn't read her books?"Verity is the only book I read by her because idk I can't wrap my head around reading the other ones.
I own ACOTAR and both Fourth Wing/Iron Flame - I haven't picked up them yet. I read The Silent Patient due to the hype and I really didn't like it lol. So I'm worried they aren't gonna be my thing or that they are too overhyped.
yanah♡ wrote: "Colleen Hoover books as well, I've heard a lot of negative things about her so maybe I just shouldn't read her books?"I made the mistake of reading the reviews of her book but decided to take a chance. I have now read 4 of her books and I have loved every one of them. I will probably eventually read them all and I typically read fantasy books like ACOTAR.
If you like romance with not too much spice and good plots then you should give her a try. I started with the "This End With Us" duo.
I would say she is like the adult version of Nicolas Sparks, and I loved to read his books when I was in high school.
ACOTAR- ive loved fantasy books since i was a little child and started getting into romantasy in the last year or so, ive heard some really positive reviews on ACOTAR but ive also heard that its super spicy and that’s not realllyyy my thing, i might give it a go if i find myself alone and able to buy a book not under the supervision of my super-strict parents 💀😭
a little life. i REALLY wanna read that book i literally have it on my bookshelf but im scared to read it bc everyone says it sends them into spiraling depression 😃

I’m talking about before it got all the attention it has now.
It’s one of my favorites. MMC is the standard. (There might be some confusion over this unless you’ve seen the spoilers.)
My advice is check it out from a library so you’re not “committing” to anything yet. (And make sure you have the free time to enjoy it). That way if you don’t like it, you can just return it. And if you do, then buy it. Hope this helps ;)
Julia wrote: "honestly, I'm afraid to read Colleen Hoover, since there was a hype and then suddenly it felt like everyone started to hate her books"Personally I have read a lot of her books and still agree with this. I think that she is an author that got a lot of people back into reading and they were obsessed with one or two of them. For me that's how it was at least, I read a couple of her books and loved them so I kept going and the other books just didn't hit the same way. A lot of the time with her books I read it through just to see how it ends then I feel like it's a mid ending. If you want to try Colleen Hoover Verity is my all time favorite but I feel like it's very different than a lot of Hoover's work!
