This author has too many books to display; use Work IDs to combine. Large works can take a while to display.

After “cleaning up” several authors with multiple books I realized 600 titles was the number that cause the “too many to display” message to appear. Getting a profile under that will instead give me pages. I have figured out the magic number is 100 different TITLES, not editions per page. I peeked at Shakespeare out of curiosity, and I regretted it immediately. When one title goes on for pages it is just not worth it. I saw where just the “H”s of Victor Hugo has 35 pages. The first page alone has 1,785 editions!! OY! Nope-not touching it.

A few weeks ago all of the authors started showing only the front page. I can still get to the other titles by going to the alphabet menu, but that is not how this has worked. I checked one of the authors I did back in November that I know had 3 pages. His now stops at the letter “N”.

I reached out to Support and they suggested clearing my cache. I did that and it didn’t remedy the situation. I tried a different browser to no avail.

Has anyone else experienced this? It started about a month ago. I didn’t experience it immediately after the system update, so I don’t think that is the cause.
