Mike | 107 comments Never. My books look brand new. If I want to remember something I write it down and transfer it to my computer.

Pooohbooks | 36 comments Yes I do! The annotations make the book more beautiful and I can revisit them anytime and get to know the things I loved in a book!

sarah | 288 comments Yes I do! I love writing down those hidden gem messages that the book has to offer you as you read. I truly love getting a book from thrift stores that have writings all over it bcuz then you get their perspective on the hidden gems. Yes yes yes.

Teresa | 14 comments I used to be meticulous about it (primarily with non-fiction books), but since I've been "reading"/listening to audiobooks while on the move, it's much more difficult. I bookmark, and hope that earmarks I've made to the section that was meaningful, or at least obvious WHY I bookmarked the passage!

Anthony Brooks (asbrooks88) I can with Kindle, so, at times I will

Make notes

message 61: by Aidê (new)

Aidê Campos | 1 comments I usually do. I pay more attention to what I'm reading, remind myself what to research. When I reread the book, then, I have reminders, explanations and even (if I may say so) hilarious comments that I often don't remember doing.

message 62: by Sam (new)

Sam (samanthacoo) | 25 comments If I’m like so into the book and I know I may want to pick it up again to get out of a book slump or something. I will definitely annotate my book🤭

message 63: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (iniysa) | 149 comments No, I like the immerse myself in a book. If I find myself making notes, it's probably a really bad book.

message 64: by becs (new)

becs | 178 comments No, I def used to when I was younger and first got more into reading, but now I don't because its a distraction and puts more pressure on me, not to mention, I feel like analyzing a book every 5 seconds just makes you want to look for every single thing that's wrong with it rather than enjoying it, which is the point of reading in the first place, no? and I also borrow most of my books from the library now so no annotating those!! lol

message 65: by Javi (new)

Javi | 4 comments No! I like my books to be immaculate. If I wanted to annotate maybe i would write in on a notebook

message 66: by ~Rylan~ (new)

~Rylan~ | 4 comments I sometimes write things on a separate piece of paper or a sticky note and put it inside.

message 67: by Yazmin (new)

Yazmin (childofh3ll666) | 45 comments no it upsets me to think about doing this

message 68: by Chris (new)

Chris St Laurent | 120 comments No I type notes on my phone if I feel the need

Tanja | 315 comments no, absolutely not. It is enough doing it when I'm working with a textbook. But never would I ever write into my beloved books
