On Goodreads do you guys count the books you stopped reading or no?

I don't mean to count them, but GR counts them towards my goal, so technically yes
I do, especially if I read at least 100 pages
I don't count, if I don't get to finished. Otherwise I would have met my goal loooong a go
Nah. Otherwise I'd be dropping books left and right (I have a hard time getting into a book at the beginning)
nope, im not really the type of person to dnf a book so i don’t really have a plan for when I do, but I recently dnf’d the red queen by victoria aveyard and I was 70% through so i might finish it as much as i really don’t want to 😭
Unless you’ve read over half of the book I’d say you could consider it. Although I personally have not put a book that I DNF into my reading goal. It would feel like cheating lol
I dont add book I DNF I also feel like its kinda cheating as I didnt actually finish it no matter how much I read or how long the book is.

I do. But I have a folder for the dnf( I don’t dnf often)
If I've read over 100 pages then yes I count it
i think it would depend on how much of the book i've read. if i've read a huge portion of it, then yes. but i probably wouldn't rate it if i haven't finished it.
I don't count them since I didn't finish. They have their own section.
Nope! I will usually read atleast 100-150 pages before I DNF a book, after that if I truly can’t push through I won’t count it because it doesn’t feel complete 😭
I rarely DNF but when I do, I do not count them.
I do but only if they’re bad, like I wouldn’t count a book I dnf bcuz I was bored or wasn’t in the mood for it but I would count one I hated to never pick it up again. And also bcuz It wasted my time and my time is precious hello!I rarely dnf books anyway 😭
if it's not finished then no i don't count them. I have a separate section for books I didn't finish whether it's because i got bored or wasn't in the mood.

Depends on A. when I dnf'd. 50% or more, yea I'll probably count it. B. where I'm at with my reading goal. Here me out 😂 If I'm ahead of schedule in my goal, then no I won't keep it. If I'm behind... I might keep it around until I'm ahead again (I like to get ahead early in the year in case I hit a slump or take a trip that doesn't allow me time to read). But once I'm ahead, and it's coming up on the end of the year, I go back through and find any that I dnf'd and get rid of the dates I read it so it doesn't count towards my yearly goal. Helps me feel a little more honest 😂
Personally, I don't. The point of the goal for me is to finish a certain amount of books. DNFing is "did not finish" for me. I can't count a book as a completed read without finishing it, tbh.
Yea, I took the time to read however much of it I read, it’s counting towards my goal😭✋
only if i’ve read a large portion of it, and a lot of the times i finish books even if i dislike it, so it doesnt make that big of a difference in the amount of books i read
no, that is cheating to me. the goal is to read x amount of books so if i didnt read it then its not calculated in my goal.
no but if I am half way into it or more than halfway in then I will finish it somehow and then badmouth about it in my book journal
depends, if there was something in the book that was irredeemable, i dnf and give it one star, but if i just got bored then i dont count it
If I read more than half of the book and then dnf it then I might include it. As long as I'm rating the book. And I don't rate books if I dnf them too quickly.

No, I only count finished books and poetry collections. I don't count comics (I have a separate custom shelf each year for those) or DNFed.
no cause I'm embarrassed to even say I tried reading them cause they were that boring/horrible :|

I made a separate shelf marked as 'DNF', so if you sort them into that shelf it won't count toward your reading. Then again, I don't put dates on my books, but that might be a solution for you :)

I never DNF books, but I was reading Powerless by Lauren Roberts last week and I had to put it down. I'm more than 50% through, so I feel like it's a waste of time if I don't finish, but I also don't know if I can put myself through the rest of it lol
For me it depends on how much of my time I invested in the book. I went back three days in a row when I could have finished another better book trying to hash through the dnf on my list for this year. I haven’t decided yet if I will count it, if I made it more than half way it will be counted. It was such garble though, I doubt I made it that far.
