Started this today and so far loving it. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story and characters progress, especially Bador. Which is something in itself as I don’t generally really like monkeys much.
“Humans are masters of lies on every scale,” Bador adds. “They even lie to themselves all the time.”To tell the truth, I like it so far, about four chapters in!
Quite a way in and liking the world, characters and story. The baddies are nice and bad. The mix of ancient legend and modern tech is a spicy one
The first chapter was great! Second chapter is a little more about the bureaucracy so far which is a bit vague. Hoping for more of the tech worldbuilding and less about family feuds.
Ok, I was hype about this book beforehand but after reading the first chapter! OMG! This is so good!
This seems really fun and inventive. I like the tone and seeing/hearing things via Moku's dry point of view.I gave four stars to Basu's previous book, The City Inside
Finally getting to start this. I fell in love with the title and the cover art and, four chapters in, I am not disappointed. So quirky and fun! Great characters!
