annotating tips??

I want to get into annotating but I never know how to do it and make it look good. if y’all have any tips please let me know🫶🏻

I‘m also new to annotations, but usually I just underline everything that I find funny/cut/sad/etc. And when I have thoughts, I write them down. I also have a pen and a marker for highlighting!

it may sound dumb, but just have fun with it! i feel like there's no wrong way of annotating. me personally i like colorful tabs that match the colors of the cover, and i underline/highlight phrases, things i found funny, cute, anything. and as Grace said, if I have thoughts I'll write them down.

I like doing doodles and highlighting quotes that sound pretty.
it's definitely easier if the book you're reading is poetic or philosophical ♡

I also love writing my thoughts on the events in the book. It's fun to look back on when you're older ^^
