10.1 - Tick Tock
Countdown is a popular UK TV Gameshow and the countdown clock has become iconic.

Read a book with a clock on the cover

The clock may be digital or analogue but must have the clock face, including numbers and/or hands clearly visible. A wrist or pocket watch will count if the face is shown.

REQUIRED: Post the cover

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) The Fury Clock (The Infinite Wheel of Endless Chronicles, #1) by Christopher Bunn would this be enough of a clock?

is this sufficiently clear a pocket watch? I can see hands showing the time as 11:20 - at least I think I can!

Thanks!

Michelle (michellesoleil) | 361 comments Hi there! Sorry to be particular about the wording of the task, but in the case of the wristwatch, do the numbers and/or hands still need to be visible if it's obviously a wristwatch? Referring to the following title in particular. Thank you. :)

Kathy KS | 2378 comments I also have a few titles on my TBR that have similar situations to the last two posts. Not all clocks/watches show actual numbers anymore.

We do need to see a clock face so that one would not work for this task

So, if I am now clear on this... If it's obviously a clock, but it doesn't show numbers, that will be OK?

This one has numbers (roman numerals) clear.
It must show the numbers, or for an analogue clock if no numbers are visible the hands must be visible

That clarifies it well and now I have some titles to choose from! Thanks.

Unfortunately this looks like a compass to me - there are too many markings round the edge to be a clock.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3675 comments I've got another possibility, as well.

The hands are definitely visible, even if the numbers are only marks, which I think works with the rewording of the task?

I agree that she could well be wearing a pocket watch round her neck, unfortunately the task does state that the numbers and/or hands must be visible and I'm just not seeing those on this cover. As such, this book will not count for this task.
