Does anyone eles wonder: HOW do people get hundreds of comments in a matter of days when your first ever review was published months ago and not ONE comment or like. And you have a decent amount of friends

I also have a bookstagram and when i joined, i commented on a lot of reels about being new on booksta. From there, i got quite some ( around 20 ig) comments, from people on booksta who didnt even follow me but welcomed me by commenting on my post. You can also ask older bookstagrammers for bookish groups and get friends from those groups, but i definitely recommend commenting bc aint noone gonna randomly comment on someone else's post. There are also groups where bookstas help each other by liking, commenting and sharing each others post to story.

I don't have an account and since I'm not allowed Insta accounts... I'm only 13 soo... my basically controls what i can download and what i cant.. but thanks for the suggestion!!

I haven't used Instagram for some time, but people use these methods called "pods" where they join groups and create comment bots that give automated engagement.

It makes it difficult to know who really enjoys posts compared to them. Unfortunately, trying to curate for your mainstay audience verses trying not to fixate on inflated or deflated false engagement, makes for a discouraging and moody way to interact with the platform and your audience.

It's exhausting to keep up. I never cared for the platform, albeit as popular for books as it is, but it's a real puzzle.
