Dee Turner | 17 comments I'm currently reading How Far the Light Reaches: A Life in Ten Sea Creatures. The author is a deep sea scientist who'd studied at Woods Hole; she intertwines her own life and struggles (especially with body consciousness and non-binary issues) and considers the possible emotions of these sea creatures as she explains how we've almost destroyed all of them. Very few books combine science and the world of feelings, but oh, she does so masterfully! A must-read, soulful work of non-fiction.
