ever read "the book theif"? I loved that book and it would probably be perfect for an English class.
Keeper of the lost cities is Definitely a great one.
there’s this really underrated that’s one of my favorites- Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. There is a bit of romance but it’s not what I would consider “spicy “ i think it’s perfect for an english class
