can i read throne of glass series before acotar

I really want to read sara j maas series and the recommended order is acotar and then tog but I have seen a bunch of the spice scenes and it made me lost interest in the series so is it ok to pick up tog series first?

Personally I read ACOTAR first and then ToG and if I could go back I'd do it the opposite way around

tog is wayyyy better than acotar, just longer! also a lot less spice like you actually get a great number of romance plots that ARENT spicy, which is great

i don’t think it really matters plot wise BUT throne of glass is a lot more complicated so i’d read acotar first

you definitely can but if you're new-ish to fantasy then i'd definitely recommend acotar first! tog is a lot longer and more complex (and the superior sjm series anyways), but if i remember right then you can skip over all the spice in acotar and not miss anything important :)
