I don’t shelve books on Goodreads of the Bible that I’ve read, but I’m doing a plan on Youversion to read the whole Bible in a year. Doesss that still count?? 😁
We can do it, guys!! My goal last year was 100 but I made 81. :/ So this year I am going to make 100 (hopefully) and I hope you all too!!! 😁
@Lilly. What 500 page books did you read? I’m decided to try and read The Stormlight Archives this year for the first time and they are all 1000 page or more books. I will be spreading some novellas in there too so I can get to 100! 😂
I read “Renegades” which was sadly a great disappointment I’ll just let you read my review for my thoughts on it: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...I also read “Eragon” which I greatly enjoyed. And the rest on the series just arrived at the library. I’m so excited to pick them up tomorrow after work and resume the series!
@david I’ve heard Brandon Sanderson’s name but haven’t looked into his books. What genre is “The Stormlight” written in? (Sorry for the scattered responses. It’s the end of a long day 🤪)
@Lilly. it’s High (or epic) Fantasy. Brandon Sanderson has created a whole universe called the Cosmere which many of his book’s somehow work into. Hope that helps!I finished Eragon last month and I really liked it! I will be reading Eldest in the next month or so! Will you be continuing on with the books?
@david I’ll have to see what I can find of his books in the library. That sounds right up my alley. I LOVE high fantasy! Tolkien is the absolute master in that genre. If you have any other high fantasy recommendations I’m all ears. (Feel free to DM me so not we’re just spamming here lol)That’s funny that we both read “Eragon” last month.
Yes, I do. “Eldest” (along with the rest of the series) arrived at my library for pickup so I’ll be grabbing those after work tomorrow. I hope the series continues to be great! In “Eragon” it started out slow and I wasn’t sure. But about halfway through I was was totally invested so I hope the series continues to be awesome! (I tend to avoid reading reviews because I despise spoilers 😝)

The Bible is probably going to make up 3/4 of my books this year. I’ve gotten almost through the New Testament already lol"
Wow! That's great Lilly! Are you reading throught the Bible in a year?

@Taz, go ahead and put me on the list. I really don't do reading challenges normally, because my challenge is that I sometimes read too much (😉), but I will join in with you all :D
@sharon I’m not sure yet. My New Testament plan will be done in a week and I haven’t thought beyond that to be honest.

Gotcha.
Gotcha.
@Taz The Apocrypha are books that were cut out of the Protestant Bible in the eighteen-hundreds because they were written in “the silent years” and were not written by confirmed prophets and their validity was in question. I have never read them myself. (This at least is what I remember from biblical study. If I’m wrong in this please correct me someone)
I'm seeing people say that they don't think they'll be able to do this challenge but I'm with Sharon in that I usually read too much 😂 This year my goal is 100 books (at least) but last year my "year in books" was 74 and i only started counting all my books about halfway through the year so i guess we'll see how high it is this year. lol

So far I’ve read 14 books this year! (Not counting books from the Bible) Does anyone have a recommendation for a Christian fantasy series that I should read?! 🫶🏻
@alanna The Blades Of Acktar is an excellent Christian fantasy series! I loved it so much after reading it on KU that I bought the whole series for myself in paperback.
Alanna, did you read our BotM for January—Mark of the Raven? It’s the first book in a great trilogy! Also, this month’s BotM is Magnify, the first book in the Storm & Spire series by Stefanie Lozinski. It’s also a wonderful series. Tales of Goldstone Wood, by Stengl (can’t remember her first name right now) is also a great series.
Here are a few more:
The Wingfeather Saga
The Ilyon Chronicles
The Knights of Arrethtrae, by Chuck Black
We do have a few other thread topics that might give you more options. I am sure you could find several that you would like.

How do you guys list the various books of the Bible as separate books on your GR book shelves? I only see full Bibles or commentaries and such.
Hey Sharon, Ephesians (Bible #49), ESV if you go to this book and then click on the 'series' button it should have them all for you.
I wish I could participate but unfortunately that would be impossible:(( wishing the best of luck to you all!! 💞🙏🏻
Thank you for the suggestions! I LOVE the blades of acktar, the wingfeather saga, the mark of the raven series, and all books by Chuck Black! I’m almost finished with the Ilyon chronicles. It’s so amazing 🥹🥹🥹 I’m looking forward to reading Magnify, and I’ll definitely look into the other series u guys recommended. Tyyy 🫶🏻
Good luck to everyone! I probably haven't read 100 books in the last two to three years combined, but I'm sure you all will crush your goals and make me proud! 💪💪💪

So I know you all have already set your personal yearly goals on Goodreads, but one of our members, Alanna, has asked to create something like this as a challenge for F&F members to read 📖📖 100 BOOKS THIS YEAR!! 📖📖
For some of you, I KNOW it’s a lot. And for others, it’s easy peasy! But no matter how fast you read or how many books you fly through, this challenge is for pure fun and enjoyment only!! If you DO decide to sign up, please don’t feel pressured.
Yes, it’ll be amazing if you DO read 100, but no one is expecting anything from you. It’s just to keep yourself motivated and ready to kick off this new year with a load of good books :)
Anywaysss, if you’d like to sign up, just write your name down below ⬇️, and at the end of the year, in late December, I’ll ask you guys to post how many books you’ve read this year, and we’ll share from there and see what happens next!
Happy reading, and have fun! 🥳🤍🤍
