Depends upon whether you want a quick hit of pleasure or an extended one.
If its a great series it is always, always better than a standalone. Mostly because the standalone leaves you wanting without an outlet.

I concur! I'd keep up with whether the series is solid and intriguing. However, I am not the kind of gal who can read multiple books simultaneously, so make sure you're ready for that commitment (if they're long).
