Kreela | 5 comments You might want to try slow-burn books labeled with “Young Adult”. Most of the books heavy on plot with no spice tend to be labeled as “urban fantasy” as well.

For a light romantic fantasy/PNR, I highly recommend Isa Medina.
— She has 3 series I love so far:
— “Red Angel” (I Love the romantic ending!)
— “Finding Fae Artifacts” (funny, so funny)
— “Good Bad Witch” (in progress)
— All feature 20-ish intelligent women

For an urban fantasy adult-oriented novel, with angst:
— Try Sandy Williams. Her first series I loved was “The Shadow Reader” series, a fast, easy, but fun series featuring a college girl.
— Her second (in progress) is “The Kennedy Rain” series, very gritty but not too bloody and dark series around a supernatural hotel managed a human family. College girl again, suddenly inheriting a tinderbox of a hotel.
