Existing description is always overwritten with the default when combining

Lately I find that if I combine the description is always replaced with the default one

This bug is particularly obnoxious because I sometimes forget about it and I forget to copy the original description, so after combining it gets lost (because I can't find it anymore in the change log either).

I haven't noticed it yet (but then I haven't really checked). Will do so next time.

I can see this really being a pain, especially when combining several editions (translations for instance) at once.
