Just completed #5 Steampunk - Prudence by Gail Carriger. I was rather disappointed with this book. I really enjoyed the parasol protectorate and had great hopes for this series. It just fell flat. I didn't really connect with the characters, and the cheekiness of the first series didn't really jive in this series. Might eventually pick up the 2nd book, but not going to run out and grab it. 2.5 stars6/12

Just completed #11 2015 book - At the Water's Edge by Sara Gruen. Overall, I really enjoyed this book! The characters were interesting, the plot got a bit twisted, and the love story very sweet. My main complaint was that the beginning was rough and took a bit for me to get interested in the story. About 1/3 of the way in, though, I was hooked. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars7/12
