Thanks, Paula! So, if I want to add metadata to my own book, I have to give it a star rating and/or review? In that case, oh well!
Thanks for your help :)

No, you don't need to rate or review it. But you do need to have added it to your shelves. Then you can access a review page (edit review) and edit metadata.

The meta data does not actually show anywhere that I can remember.
If you want to add tags, then those are generated from bookshelves the book is added to, so you would need to create bookshelves with the appropriate tags and add your book to those

I would like to incorporate this in my book, but there are no instructions on how to do this. Please advise.
Also, I added an alternate cover edition today. How do I get it to show up in the Explore section of Goodreads? Right now my book shows up in the Time Travel category of thumbnails, and I would like the new cover to replace the old one if possible. Also, the new edition shows up as default in searches (since I set it as the degfault), but the old one still shows up as the thumbnail on my home page. Does it just take a while for the system to recognize the changes?
Thank you!
