The Seven Year Slip is the best and most literal possible right person wrong time lmao. My fave book of 2023!
The Wedding Menu by Letizia Lorini is another really great one that doesn't get enough love. fmc meets her perfect guy at a friend's wedding, but she's about to get engaged (to a real loser) and he doesn't believe in marriage, so they become friends instead and try really hard not to fall in love.
I just read Something Rad by Nikki Witt and it was soooooo good. Sort of fits this trope but not perfectly. 80s high school romance, the mmc is based on Steve Harrington from stranger things. Best vibes.
Curious to see what others recommend!
